MAGI Enterprises is a garment manufacturing facility, which exports ladies’ fashion garments to Australia under the name of KOOKAI brand. We were in search of an allrounder who can provide Human Resources consultation and provide training on ISO certification. I am happy to write a note about the services of Mark Dayan Fernando who provides Human Resources solutions through his own company; E&J Management Services (Pvt) Ltd. Not only that he is good in compliance audit as well. Mark has been a consultant in our company, since year 2016 and he educated our employees and helped our company to achieve the EMS certification. Mark gave several other services such as conducting discussions with the management to develop the compliances. He conducted special trainings to the staff and entire workers. Once he provided the translation service for the trainings conducted by our Australian Head of Human Resources who came to Sri Lanka. His knowledge and attention to detail have aided in keeping our company on track when we streamline our Human Resources Management services. We approached Mark Dayan Fernando of E&J Management Services to get a specialized service to the Human Resources department of the SANASA Development Bank. We wanted to streamline Job Descriptions of the entire bank and put them in order. We are very much satisfied with the excellence serviced provided by him. In consultation with the CEO/ Corporate Management and the other divisional Managers he was able to revise and write almost 200 JDs. In the meantime, his services were sought by us to improve the English language skills of the employees where he started running a video based English class on the WhatsApp group that has been created by the Bank for people development purposes. Then as an extension of the same initiative we also commenced an hybrid English (both online and physical) class with a group of 30 staff. We hope to continue this successful project with Mark and extend the same to all staff who are keen to improve business English which is critical for their work at this moment. It’s a great pleasure to work with Mark Dayan Fernando of E&J Management Services and we hope to consult him for any other HR projects appropriately in future as well.

I am Nishantha Jayamaha who is the current owner / Managing Director of Nayomi’s Bakers in Negombo. I was in need of a HR service provider to my business in year 2007, to put things in order. I met Mark Dayan Fernando, who is a classmate of mine from grade 2. We both studied till Advance Level examination and I remember that we were doing private studies at my place as well. We both were in the school’s basketball team and we used to play even after the school days. After I finished my higher studies, I took over the management of my parent’s business in Negombo. When I was applying new strategies to my business, I spoke to my friend Mark Dayan Fernando, who runs the E&J Management services (Pvt) Ltd., and gives Human Resources Management services and processes to clients. It was a great move and E&J Management Services company provided me many solutions to streamline my HR department. In fact, Mark gave a fulltime employee to be in my office and look after the daily HR related work. Mark has organized many training programs to uplift the services of my Bakery and Restaurant staff. When he took over the HR services, there were nearly 45 employees. Now I have about 80 employees and there are 10 outlets in Negombo under the name of Nayomi’s Bakers. I am happy for the HR Services that Mark provides me as a consultant now.
